Craig Jones on Inside Edition

Page Perry’s Craig Jones was interviewed on Inside Edition (April 30, 2009) about a lawsuit he filed alleging that a federal agency, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, had violated the federal Privacy Act by releasing private medical information about a TB patient to the news media.  The client, who is also an attorney, decided to sue the CDC to set the record straight (since some of the information released about him was inaccurate) as well as to recover damages for the harm to his reputation and loss of income to his law practice. Jones filed the suit under the Privacy Act that protects citizens from the release of confidential information by the federal government and gives every citizen the right to sue if a federal agency violates his or her right to privacy.
